Community ranks
The community has always been a huge part of giffgaff as it’s what the network is built around and is the medium by which staff communicate with their customers. It also allows user to get very quick answers to their questions and the power of having all your customers part of a community means that any issues can be quickly and efficiently resolved at any time of the day.
The community ranks are essential to the smooth running of the forums as they makes it easier to see at a glance how experienced and reliable every member is. They also allow more experienced members to access great functionality on the community and encourage members to be helpful on the forums.
There are a number of standard ranks starting at newcomer and continuing through beginner to novice, trainee and so on. There are also one specialist rank for super-recruiters, giffgaff headhunter). In total there are 83 community ranks – 82 regular ranks and 1 special one.
giffgaff don’t publish the precise criteria for determining your community rank but you can advance through the ranks by helping out by things such as providing accepted solutions to questions, receiving kudos from other members and tagging posts on the forums. Your ranking will also improve the longer you are a member, the more time you spend helping out on the community and the more posts you make.
giffgaff community members are also encouraged to help out on the forums as they gain privileges and additional functionality as they rise through the ranks.
